Iceland-Eastfjords

Unfortunately we had really bad weather when we passed through the east fjords.

Already on the way from Akureyri to Egilstadir, the center of the East, it was snowing all the time including pretty windy conditions and also on the next day it was even worse. The road conditions were lets say challenging, snow, basically zero sight and wind. After about an hour heading south it started to clear and we were able to see our surroundings again. Isn’t it amazing how, you are all of the sudden grateful for small things that you usually take absolutely for granted? Below are some impressions from Eastern Iceland. I am sure it is really and absolutely beautiful, we just did not see as much as we wanted to. I guess that means we have to come back 🙂
